In the first quarter of 2024, the Drawing & Coloring category on Android has seen varying trends among the top applications in the United States. Sensor Tower provides a closer look at how these apps have fared in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users.
Happy Color®: Coloring Book from X-FLOW showed a striking trend with revenues peaking at nearly $3.1M in mid-February before tapering off to $2.4M by the end of March. Downloads saw a high of approximately 63K in early January, dipping to around 43K in early March, and then rebounding to almost 50K by the quarter's end. Weekly active users started strong at over 800K, reached a high of around 871K in early January, and closed the quarter with over 857K active users.
Zen Color - Color By Number by Oakever Games also experienced a fluctuating revenue pattern, with a peak at nearly $2.9M in late January, followed by a drop to just over $2.2M by late March. The app saw downloads begin at about 56K, then gradually declined to just over 30K towards the end of the quarter. The weekly active users showed a similar downward trajectory, starting at around 181K and ending at approximately 179K.
CrazyLabs LTD's Phone Case DIY, with no notable revenue for the quarter, had its downloads peak at around 56K in late January, followed by a decrease to about 34K by the quarter's end. Active user counts were highest at the start of January with over 121K users, dipping to approximately 112K by the end of March.
Color ASMR: Painting Book from Zego Studio, also with no revenue reported, saw its downloads start at about 62K in early January, with a decrease to around 19K in early February, followed by an uptick to nearly 39K in early March. Weekly active users began at over 317K and ended the quarter with about 257K.
Lastly, Color by Number:Coloring Games by Wildlife Studios showed revenues starting at approximately $1.7M in early January and rising to nearly $1.9M by the end of March. The app's downloads started at around 26K, with a notable increase to nearly 30K by the end of the quarter. Active users were at their highest in early January with over 201K, seeing a rise to around 206K in late February, before settling at about 205K in late March.
